Sex_Obsessed Kids

Location (Public School)
Level (Junior High School, Kids between 14_15)

As I entered the classroom I noticed a sentence on the blackboard:
"Ali kicked his ass good-bye for goods." I thought to myself that something awful must have had happened to Ali but, what could it be?
The classroom bell rang and the students rushed out to leave their cage immediately. I was happier than my students. Why? It’s just one of those classes which is hard to deal with.
I saw Ali down the hallway waiting for me. Hey Ali! How you doing boy? "It couldn’t be worse." He said. Ali was one of those kids who at first encounter you get an impression of a nice, quiet and shy kid. He is a bit chubby with his always smiling face.
"Why were you absent today"? I said. "I was kind of busy."
"What business?" I said." Actually, my parents have decided to change my school for some reasons." what reasons?" I insisted. (I know this kind of relationship is being considered as putting one’s nose in other people’s affairs but, these kinds of relationships are quite normal here.)
"Some of my friends and I were going to pick up a girl on the weekend to have some "fun" so, I stole about 500$ from my father and now my daddy has gotten wind of it and has decided to send me to a Private school." He said.
I really couldn’t believe my ears!
"Picking up a girl? YOU?”I said.
“A private school?" I said it with lots of exclamation marks in my head!
"Halalam Kon"(Forgive me Mr. Frankie) He said.
Kid’s minds are occupied with having a girlfriend to be proud of and Instead of studying and planning for their future_ with these undefined relationship among boys and girls_ some become one track mind kids with sex on the top of their priorities. The whole energy and youth is wasted over having sex and relationship with a girl. Where the hell are we all going to? A black hole?

The poor parents think private schools are much different with public schools. Yeah! They sure are different not in terms of education but, in the amount of money they receive from the parents.
He was carrying a notebook and he asked his teacher to write a sentence or two to be kept as a memento for him. He asked me to write something in his notebook. In English, I wrote "Lots of luck."

Why shouldn't I wish luck for someone who wont see me again. The kid was coming after me in the street so that I write something in his Diary,You don't expect me to let a kid down by not writing in his Diary,Do you!
That was the last time I saw the kid,I couldn't have started giving him "moral"lessons and if I could give him any moral lessons I wouldn't have done it for lots of reasons.
If the culture of Tehran is what you call as "trash" so is the culture of other capital cities throughout the world.I am sure lots of these stories happen everywhere so Take it easy man.

Farzad:
Although sex has nothing to do with being a kid but when you become obsessed with something you turn into a jerk,no matter what that is.You aren't here Farzad to see how some students love to study in coeducational school to experience the "joy" of being with girls. The undefined relationship among boys and girls is one of the main reasons.Everything has a cause and effect. Maybe I should have written a longer post to avoid misunderstanding which is in our blood.I didn't confirm his actions. The kid just thought that I could be a good listener.
Cheers to you too man:)

I wonder what a beautiful world teachers have!? Full of unexpected and funny events by some wicked kids. It would be adventurous to be with these students.

"Picking up", what a hilarous word for young kids :))

Good article.

In this situation, you did the best you coul as a teacher. The question in a child's action lies deeper than the action, itself. The parents missed the whole point of their son's action. Their foolish solution is to send him off to private school, serves their own purpose, but really does nothing to address WHY their son performed such actions.

A so called better education does not address the day to day issues teenagers face.

They may run out of schools, because he will do something again, as teenagers do, to get the much needed attention from their parents, they desparately seek at this stage of their development.

Sure! Teachers have a beautiful world with kids but,you haven't heard the negative aspects of teaching .I am fed up with the "negativisms" on teaching so when it comes to my blog,I try to be more " optimist."Maybe I should write a post on the negative aspects of my job to give you a 3 dimensional view of teaching.

CE Reid:
Glad you enjoyed it.Unfortunately a lot of these parents are ignorant about their kids, society, etc and instead of solving the problem, they erase the question.

Ah that is true but this is just among all generation now a days. In High School, In Uni, At work... being heldback they all look to it as sth as a goal... a society of such big problematic factors & we are sinking in deeper & deeper...

another good one Frank.

it you take away somthing from a being then they become obssessed. We segregated school boy and girls for many years. then the girls think boys much be something special and boys think that girls are something different. then we they come together, they have no idea what to do and how to live a proper life. all they become obssessed with is sex, becasue this is 70% of couples life! but they may ignore the rest!

alireza:
I am not sure about "70" percent part but, you have a point in the segregation part;)

I lived in Tehran for 24 years, but I read this story with widest eyes I could have! I can't believe what is going on in boy's highschools. Don't tell me it's the same in girl's. It seems I have been in high school hundred years ago!
