Odyssey 2001

Comparing our "modern" life with those Cavemen whose only living places were caves and jungles I can't help envying their visionary Look to their World around them. When I was a child I looked at the world with awe and bigness. Now due to my "maturity" I have lost that feeling entirely!
To make a nostalgic picture out of living in those periods would be a fatal mistake I don’t want to make intentionally. The thing I am talking about is THE look. As you become older those awesomeness and grandness is lost all due to our "civilized" world& our modernity. You think you have almost everything under control. Things change fast and lose their meanings in seconds even as I am writing this post!

In those good old days as you got up and started beating on your chest (this chest beating in the morning must be the result of those old habits die hard of our ancestors.) you saw the Sun, the animals with awesomeness and shock.

Now due to "civilization" things have become so cliché and routine that you don’t feel the grandness of life as Cavemen did.

Those good old days…

Peace

Back to the city…The calmness, peacefulness, serenity, tranquility, quietness, noiselessness, stillness, muteness I felt was out of this world…
The Water, the River, the Greenness, and the Weather have all placed their tracks in every gray cell of my brain commanding me not to return home…
Three days with no TV, Radio, Internet connection, THE Traffic, the city people was a WOW in my life…
No worry, No stress, Nothing could have moved me …
Out there, you have your ordinary life with no fear of Atomic Bomb…
Now, I am awake after three days …Yes those three days was like a never ending dream but, it was ended…
After the injection, there was no pain and those three days were like painkillers but now, I am starting to feel the pain again…

The River part was the climax of my trip. In a deserted part where no other people were around except my own family I was my real self in the Water. Both of us (Water&me) were having fun. I was part of the Water. I was real close to myself. Water was God.
Floating in the water was like flying on a "Time Machine." I was a prophet then.

At night I could see the Stars in their real colors…lots of stars were blinking to me…

Crash

This Arabization of Iranian National TV has made almost everyone MAD. Turn on any channels and you hear Arabic language which sings songs on victorious Hezbollah. Why should we ever swallow these bullshits?

Phase 2:

"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something."

I myself don’t miss that touch at all because; here you are touched all the time: in the taxis, in the buses, in the markets, in the streets etc…that I myself prefer to use a shortcut to get home. Being in densely populated areas makes me real sick. I don’t have any choice either; this kind of thing is like a saw caught in your ass halfway; either directions (upward&downward) it causes pain.

Crash is a movie which one can forget easily like the characters in the movie who are the ordinary people you see in the streets everyday. You don’t pay any attention to people passing by; that's why after watching the movie I didn’t think much about the movie rather, felt how the people in the movie felt in their predicaments. If you can ever relate to this movie in a way or another it means that "YOU" are a "racist" as well. Mr. Haggis showed us all how all people with different colors can be racists both visibly and invisibly. From an artistic point of view the movie is a masterpiece but in reality of my own life I still have a little or more than a little prejudice toward Arabs. I haven’t worked this out myself. I do apologize Mr. Paul Haggis because at the beginning of the movie I started calling names on the salesman who was talking to my countryman/woman.How easy it was to pass judgment while watching the movie.
A must see … 10/10

Human Achievement

They say there are no heroes anymore. But they're there.
Walk down any street and you will find them.
The mothers& and fathers who work, the teachers who survive, the children who overcome.
They aren’t larger than life, but they are larger than their own lives.
Their names aren’t famous, but their virtues are.
Hard work. Common sense. An unshakable belief in themselves.
If you're looking for a hero, look around!
